Uniform patient record
from multiple data sources

01

Patient identification

Our Master Patient Index (MPI) allows multiple patient data sources to be integrated into a single uniform patient record and patient identifiers to be linked. If a patient receives treatment at several different healthcare facilities, there are multiple data sources for that one person with different identifiers. In order to clearly identify that patient, PAN MPI searches for unique matches in the various sources and amalgamates the data. When setting up a new patient record, an MPI is directly allocated to that person to ensure that all data is correctly assigned from the get-go.

02

Data security

All patient data are stored and managed locally to avoid the need for exchanging data between different facilities. They are accessed via a web-based user interface that requires the user to authenticate themself. The data in question are locally compiled by means of an index.

Piktogramm MPI

MPI enables the integration of multiple patient sources into a uniform patient view and is used for patient identification. All patient data is stored and managed locally so that no patient-related data has to be exchanged between locations.
